This getting started guideline outlines our key rules when using a Ryd vehicle and how to register and book your first trip.

What's Included?

Insurance

Each vehicle has a fully comprehensive cover, with applicable excess to any loss.

Public Charging

Each car is equipped with a card to charge the vehicle at any ChargeNet, OpenLoop or We.EV public charger.

Roadside Assist

In the event of an accident, we have a professional third-party provider to help.

Regular Cleaning

Vehicles will be cleaned based on usage. However, it is expected that each driver leaves the vehicle(s) in a tidy and acceptable condition.

Payment

Hiring costs and a full breakdown of additional charges are available on the app, or by visiting our Payment Schedule in the help section of the app.

Important to Know

  1. Return vehicles to sign-written designated parking space(s).

  2. Connect the charger to the vehicle before ending the booking (if available).

  3. Return the vehicle the way you found it. Keep it clean and check for damage before and after each trip.

  4. Check your range. Return the vehicle with at least 25% battery charge (or at least 100km range).

  5. Carefully read through our Terms and Conditions, which are available in the Ryd app.

  6. There is a 15-minute gap between bookings.

  7. Cancellation within 24hours will incur $20 penalty to ensure fair use. This includes no show bookings.

  8. Bookings can be made up to a month in advance, limited to 2 at a time.

  9. Driving on roads that are unsealed, and up ski fields is strictly prohibited.

Sign Up and Book

Download the App: Scan the QR code or download the Ryd app directly from the Apple Store or Google Play.

Find Your Vehicle: Navigate on the map and locate the vehicle and apartment.

Register an Account: Create a free account in the app.

Enter Your Details: Such as personal details and your payment information.

Validate Your License: Submit your driver's license for validation. Approval typically is no longer than 24 hours.

Book Your Car: Once approved, use the app to book the car.

Familiarize Yourself: For safety and convenience, review our terms and conditions, vehicle usage instructions, fees, and charging information in the app.
